Contact Clipper Add to Chrome

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

Contact Clipper is a Chrome extension made by Total Commercial Inc. (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the extension accesses, what it does with that information, and the choices you have. In short: Contact Clipper has no server of its own, does not sell your data, and does not use it for advertising.

What Contact Clipper accesses

Text you give it

The extension reads text only when you give it to it: when you paste into the side panel, use “Paste from clipboard”, choose “Add to Contact Clipper” from the right-click menu, press the keyboard shortcut, or press a Contact Clipper button. It sorts that text on your own computer.

Your Google account

When you connect Google, the extension asks for these permissions:

Gmail

The optional Gmail button runs on mail.google.com. When you press it, it reads the email you have open (the sender, recipients and signature) so it can fill in the contact. It does not use the Gmail API, and it does not read your other emails.

Other web pages

Only if you turn on the optional “+” button for selected text, Chrome will ask you to allow the extension on websites. It then looks at text you select, to offer the button. Nothing is collected unless you press it.

Where your information goes

We do not run a server that receives your contacts, and we never sell, rent or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

What is stored on your computer

Your settings, your draft contact, a count of saves for the free plan, and any keys you enter for connected apps are stored by Chrome on your computer (chrome.storage). They are removed when you uninstall the extension.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Contact Clipper’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, information from Google APIs is used only to provide the features you see in the extension. It is not used for advertising, it is not sold, it is not used to train AI or machine learning models, and no person at Total Commercial Inc. reads it, except when you ask us for help and give us permission, when needed for security, or when the law requires it. It is sent to other apps only when you connect them yourself, as described above.

Your choices

Children

Contact Clipper is a business tool and is not meant for children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change affects how information from your Google account is used, we will ask for your consent first.
